Before you start, make sure your BlackBerry phone battery is fully charged and you have inserted an original SIM Card.
1. Press the BlackBerry button
key.
2. Select Manage Connections. Turn All Connections Off (Will show Restore Connections).
3. Press back button
and go to Options> Advance Options> SIM Card.
4. Press the BlackBerry button
and select Show Keyboard. Turn the phone sideways so you get the full QWERTY keypad.
5. Type MEPD (not case sensitive) Please Note: When typing in MEPD the letters will not appear on the screen. This step opens up the personalization screen on the device. Make sure you have Active (means your phone is locked) beside the network. If it says Disabled beside the Network, it means your phone is unlocked. If it says Blocked, that means you or someone else already made too many attempts to unlock the phone and the phone is now hard locked, that can not be unlock by a code.
6. Type MEP (not case sensitive), then press ALT key and type number 2 Note: When typing in MEP2 the letters/number will not appear on the screen, this step open up the "Enter Network MEP" box. If you do not see "Enter Network MEP" box, you didn't type in MEP2 properly.
7. Enter Unlock Code.
8. Press the Enter Key. (Make sure you press the Enter Key within 5 second or you have to enter the unlock code again).
9. You will see a Code Accepted message, you will also see the Network is Disabled. Your phone is now unlocked. Restore the connections by following step 1 & 2.
Restart the phone with Unauthorized SIM Card inserted. Unauthorized SIM Card is a SIM Card that is NOT belongs to the provider of the phone. Make a phone call. If you are not able to make a phone call then you need to check Network Connection is set on GSM/UMTS:
1. Press the BlackBerry button
key.
2. Select Manage Connections--> Mobile Network Options.
3. Under Network Technology--> Global
4. Change it to GSM/UMTS.
5. Once GSM/UMTS is selected, you will see Network Mode 3G & 2G. Now you can make a phone call.
After BlackBerry unlock process is complete, if you get the message "your call can not be completed, contact customer care", do the following:
1. Dial ##000000 and send.
2. In the Menu add your phone number, press on the MENU key and select save.
3. The phone will reboot and activate.
Device MUST Auto-reboot to successfully complete procedure. Otherwise repeat steps again, allow phone to auto -reboot. Do not manually reboot the phone.

FOR GSM BLACKBERRY MOBILES:
Please make sure to type the code correctly, do not retry if the code fails.
IF CODE FAILS OR THERE IS A CODE ERROR, FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS:
1. From the home screen of the Blackberry, press the green call button to enter the phone.
2. You will see your phone number. Type in ## UNLOCK CODE then the green talk button (i.e. if we send you the code 123456, enter it as ##123456 and then press Green talk button). See image 1.
3. At the top you will see the "Mobile Directory Number", in the CDMA service edit screen, delete the number (000000xxxx) and replace it with your current phone number. See image 2.
3. In second line, change your IMSI number. You can get this number from your new network provider. See image 2.
4. Press the BlackBerry button and choose save. You will see a message box "Write successful resetting device"
5. The device will re-boot.
When the device re-boots, Activation Required will be gone and the active carrier name will now appear. Press the talk button and you will see your phone number under my number at the top. See image 3.
